Christmas Card - Lili Of The Valley - In The Lamplight

Hi everyone! Happy Fall y'all! I can't believe summer is over, but I'm so glad it is! It was so hot here this year, and this gal don't like it hot!!! I'd rather there be snow on the ground!

I never thought I'd be blogging again. I thought when I closed my business down that I would be done. It's funny where life takes you sometimes. I've been through so many journey's in my life, and have learned so much from each one.
After I shut down my business I took a couple of weeks to relax, do my own thing, color, and craft. I even worked on redoing my kitchen and our backyard which is another story for another time.

During the last nine months I practiced my coloring skills with Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, and Inktense Pencils at night time. It took quit a while to get the hang of all of them, but I feel I'm doing pretty good so far. I still have a ways to go though.

I've finally made some cards with the images I've colored.
So today I'm sharing a card with you! In fact, this is the first card I've made in 7 years! The last card I made was for my daughters 21st birthday.  I'm new to card making, but I decided I wanted to make all my Christmas cards this year. I love stamping, coloring, and card making. I'm so glad that I have the time to be able to make these. So you will see more I promise. In fact I'm working on several paper projects right now, that I plan to share with you. :)

Here's my first Christmas card!
I used a Lili Of The Valley stamp called "In The Lamplight"
The paper is from Basic Grey called "Eskimo Kisses".

I colored the image with Inktense Pencils & Prismacolor Pencils and used
the following Inktense colors:
Baked Earth
Carmine Pink
Saddle Brown
Iris Blue
Golden Yellow
Oak
Sepia Ink

Prismacolor Pencil colors for snow:
Silver
Cool Grey 30%

After I finished coloring the image I wanted to add some dimension to the image, so I added some Snow-Tex for some snow, which you won't see here because I added it after the card was complete. I then added some German Glass Glitter to the snow to make it shiny. You can see it below.

Flowers are from Petaloo.

I used a Spellbinders Snowflake Die.
I then added some glass glitter and a pretty pearl brad.

Side view.

I used a Spellbinders die for the tag and a couple of green gems.

I thought this Spellbinders snowflake die would be perfect for the back.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today.
Thank you for stopping by!
